1.               Barry Salem United Methodist Church

     From Hegins, go north 2 miles on PA 125 to Deep Creek Road.  Go east on Deep Creek Road 4.5 miles.  The church is on the right, midway between the communities of Weishample and Mable.

Brief History:
     A stone building was erected about 100 feet of the present structure in 1856.  The class was known as Deep Creek until 1873, and has been known as Barry since then.  The present building was dedicated in 1891.  The congregation transferred from the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference to the Susquehanna Conference on July 1, 2017.


2.               Hegins St. John's United Methodist Church

Directions:
     The village of Hegins is on PA 25, 9 miles east of the Dauphin-Schuylkill county line, at the intersection with PA 125.  Main Street in PA.  The church is on the south side of the street.

3.               Muir Grace United Methodist Church

Directions:
     The village of Muir is just south off US 209.  From Tower City, go 3 miles east on US 209 to Keystone Street.  Go south on Keystone Street 3 blocks to Wiconisco Street.  The church is on the northeast corner of Keystone and Wiconisco Streets.

1924,128 –Reiner City [Muir] is erecting a new church building for approximately $30,000.

Brief History:
     This congregation started in a small log house on the farm of Thomas Evans.  This place was first chosen for the erection of a church, but George Reiner Sr. gave a piece of land on the hill just south of Muir where they built their first church in 1874.  That building was abandoned in 1923 when the present building was erected.

 


4.               Spring Glen Pine Creek United Methodist Church

Directions: 
     From Hegins, go 8 miles west on PA 25 to the village of Spring Glen.  Turn south on Kushwa Road, the only street going south within the village, and go ¼ mile.  The church is on the left.

Brief History:
    
This appointment dates from 1885, however there was no church building or official congregation until the present building was dedicated in 1912, with the annex dedicated in 1925.  Prior to that time, meetings were held in homes and memberships were maintained on the rolls at either Fearnot or Sacramento.  The congregation was known as St. Mark’s until 2015, when it united with Fearnot St. Peter’s to form the Pine Creek UMC.

 


5.               Tower City Christ United Methodist Church

     Grand Avenue is US 209.  The church is in the center of town, on the southeast corner of Grand Avenue and 4th Street.

6.               Valley View St. Andrew's United Methodist Church

     From Hegins, go 3 miles west on PA 25, which is Main Street in the village of Valley View.  The church is on the north side of the highway.

Brief History:
    
The first United Brethren church building was erected in Valley View, then known as Germantown, in 1862.  The nucleus of the present building was erected in 1905 and added to several times.
